The Fredericton Christian Reformed Church seeks to be a community of believers devoted to advancing God’s Kingdom through commitment to Jesus Christ who through his life, death and resurrection brings life in all its fullness. To fulfill our mission, we will
Underlying Rationale and Principles Hence, we begin by highlighting the importance of praising God through worship that seeks to be inspiring so that awe and reverence is heightened. It is God alone that we seek to praise and worship. Awe and reverence must be grounded, however, in the revelation of God we gain through Scripture. A clear understanding of Scripture begins with thought-provoking Biblical preaching which, based on the Reformed tradition and its historic creeds and confessions, serves to stimulate, encourage and help us grow in our Kingdom walk. Further understanding of Scripture is enhanced through teaching done in group studies and educational programs, in which all members are encouraged to participate. Through preaching, teaching and study we come to learn that the Church is the body of Christ. It consists of members with different gifts, talents and abilities, and each is valued and drawn into the fellowship. That fellowship of redeemed and renewed people reflects the love of Christ by loving and caring for each other – for one another’s spiritual needs and physical well-being. We intend too to share the Good News of Christ’s healing power with others so God’s Kingdom may grow. And thus we are encouraged as people of God to go forward in all walks of life to live renewed lives.
