About the Camp

The camp is for boys and girls who will be of age 10-14 years by December 31, 2012.  The camp is located on the beautiful shores ofMagaguadavic Lake at the Magaguadavic Lake Y's Men’s Camp.

When

July 29 – Aug, 3, 2012

We will be ready to receive campers at the lake on Sunday afternoon at 3:30 PM.   

The campers will be ready to return home from the camp by 3:30 PM on Friday, Aug. 3

Directions

The camp is located approximately 25 km from Kings Landing, on Highway 635.  After passing Farm Point Rd. stay on Highway 635 for approx. 1 km.  Take a right onto the dirt road.  Proceed down the road over a small bridge, pass the road to the public boat landing and then turn right at the next Y in the road.  There should be a metal bar raised at one end.  From here it’s about 1 km to the camp.

Transportation

Transportation to and from the lake is the responsibility of the campers.  Please let us know if you need help with your travel arrangements

Cost

Pre-registration – by May 13, 2012 $140

After May 13 - $160

For families with more than one camper, the rate is reduced by $10 for each additional camper.

Please make cheques payable to the Fredericton Christian Reformed Church.

Some Items to Take Along to Camp

·         Bible

·         Sleeping bag or bedding and pillow.

·         Clothing for seven days.  Please remember that sometimes clothes get wet and additional wear may be needed.  Bathing suits are to be of a modest nature.

·         Toiletry articles such as soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, sunscreen and deodorant.

·         Towels suitable for the beach and for nighttime wash up.

·         Jacket or sweater for cooler evenings.

·         Two pair of footwear (one pair being sneakers).  Everyone will be required to wear footwear at all times.  The only exception will be on the beach and in the lake.

·         Pen or pencil

As there is not a store, money will not be needed at the camp.

Camp Rules

·         We will strive to praise and honour the Lord at all times.

·         We will leave the campsite in better order than we found it.

·         We will obey all swimming rules.

·         We will absolutely not be in the lake without permission from the camp director.

·         We will not be around cabins of the opposite gender.

·         We will ring the bell only when asked to do so by the staff.

·         We will not bring junk food to the cabins as it attracts mice and other animals.  Any food brought to camp will be held until Friday night.

·         We will pitch in with the chores.

·         We will have permission from the staff before using the telephone in the kitchen.

·         We will participate in all activities of the camp.
